Check out Pete Hughes' excellent pictures of past festivals:
2005,
2006 and
2007
Yesterday's Tomorrow have done just three gigs but are already seeing their impressive stagecraft
getting them regular standing ovations
and encores. With an average age of under 12, they are one of the most exciting new bands we have seen
in a long time. Mike (guitar and vocals), Shane (guitar), Elsa (Bass) and Alice (drums and vocals)
write their own material but have a few covers under their belts, including a killer version of "Sweet
child of mine". Runners up at the Willink Battle of the Bands and finalists in a recent county talent
competition, they are definitely a band to keep an eye on.

WOW!
What can we say? 2008's festival was the best yet in every respect: the music, the sound, the
extraordinary light show, the atmosphere, the crowd; even the weather! Sonia, fish and
Sharon would like to say an enormous "thank-you" to everyone who played, provided equipment,
crewed or simply turned up to enjoy the friendliest festival in the world.
Thank you!
We've been glued to Pete Hughes' website
enjoying his stunning pictures of the day. We also had a lot of press present this year. We'd be grateful
if you let us know of any reports you see that we may have missed.
As usual, we have a few items of lost property left: drop us an email to
info@silchestermusicfestival.org
if you have lost anything.

We had volunteers on site continuously from early Friday morning until lunch-time on
Sunday, by which time the field was so clean that you would not have known we were there.
We still have to take the posters down - thank-you to everyone who tolerated a poster
on their tree or fence - and dispose of a trailer-load of rubbish; and then it's on to
dreaming about next year. Any ideas? Would you like to help? play? sponsor us?
Let us know.
STOP PRESS - we've bitten the bullet and ordered some portaloos so, hopefully,
it's goodbye to the queues and half-hearted flushing of recent years.
Another year - another festival. If you would like to help, take part, offer suggestions or would like
any more information, please contact us via
info@silchestermusicfestival.org
We're delighted to have accepted an offer of help and equipment from Lawrence Wright (more usually seen
at the Ministry Of Sound) and, so, this year's light show will be in a different league from
previous years'. Thanks, Lawrence, from all the team.
Can you help publicise the festival? We can supply free full-colour posters for your office, school
or club.
Let us know.
